Warm up your creative writing muscles with this timed writing exercise
This exercise is designed to get you writing and your creative juices flowing.
Find yourself pen and paper, settle yourself down somewhere quiet where you're not going to be disturbed, and get ready to write.
The idea is to write fast. You've got to keep that pen flowing across the page. Don't stop to think or start self-editing, we are trying to banish the inner critic. To make it easier I have put a timer below. Start the timer and don't stop until that alarm goes off. The time is set for five minutes.
